The NX9300 System uses Kenwood radio equipment,
which has a very good track record in motorsport, and is highly regarded in eh
business.
The NX9300 system come with 12 volt DC high power radio
as standard fitted with our latest DSP4 noise cancelling system, the pit radio
also has the antenna elevated on top of the headset as standard to help with range.
We regard this as our turnkey solution to higher tier Motorsport, offering the best
possible performance. The Kenwood radio units do also have some additional user features that can be useful, but are not
essential.
Race 700D system is aimed at a more entry level market,
It uses Icom radio units that are the only other manufacturer that uses the NXDN
digital protocol the Kenwood use, this method of digital transmission offers the
best performance in a motorsport environment.
Icom units offer just as good performance reliability
and build quality as Kenwood, but do not have the same track record. Icom units offer a more basic
functionality so are a little less flexible when it comes to expansion, however
there is a significant price difference between the Icom and Kenwood hardware.
The Race 700D offers a low cost way into race communications,
and now offers full expandability, with higher powered car radio units, 12 volt
power, elevated Pit set antenna and the 2 button pit/car system. This enables the
system to grow with the team.
Race 700D uses our DSP3 noise cancelling which is
more than adequate for 95% of race car applications. As the DSP4 only really comes
into its own with extreme high noise situations, such as LMP2 and 3 cars.
If you fully expand the race 700D system the cost approaches
that of the NX9300 system, so most customers with the budget go for that strait
away. Race 700D plus offers some cost savings on adding the individual expansion
options, as it includes 12 volt power 2 button pit car and elevated pit set
antenna.
